Impressive moment Russian tank ‘Z’ was hunted down and exploded as the crew tried to flee

Video of the DRAMATIC drone shows a Russian Z tank being blown to pieces as its crew desperately searches for their lives.

It is the newest of the hundreds of tanks and armored vehicles which Ukraine claims to have destroyed during Putin’s stalled invasion.

High-definition footage – allegedly shot on a commercial drone in besieged Mariupol – has been shared on Telegram channels.

It shows a battle tank with a special Z marking driving through deserted streets and rounding a corner past buildings.

Suddenly it was rocked by an explosion that created a billowing plume of gray smoke from within.

The tank stopped 20 yards on the road, where it was hit by a larger explosion and orange flames.

A crew member in the gun turret opened the emergency exit when the pilot threw the 40-ton machine behind.

The Russian soldiers were then able to climb out and flee on foot as it was hit three more times, possibly by rocket-propelled grenades.

An injured crew member was seen crawling by the side of the road when a Friday explosion threw debris onto the wreck.

The drone’s camera zoomed out to reveal that the second Z tank had been hit and burned a short distance away.

Ukraine’s armed forces have gleefully posted online footage of Russian armor scorched after three weeks of fierce fighting.

Yesterday, another drone video showed a tank crossing a snowy stream before being overrun. hit by a missile blow it away.

Kyiv claims its forces have killed or captured 13,000 Russian troops so far, and destroyed nearly 200 planes, 400 tanks and 2,000 other vehicles.

Vladimir Putin is said to be raging over the catastrophic invasion, which he expects to end in two weeks.

His forces have turned to bombing civilians in cities like Mariupol, where the city government says 80% of buildings were damaged and thousands died.

Yesterday a theater in Mariupol was destroyed by a Russian bomb while up to 1,200 people shelter inside.

It was targeted even though the word “kids” was painted in huge letters outside to warn Russian pilots.

Today, rescuers said at least some of the women and children sheltering in the basement survived, but the number of casualties has yet to be released.
