IMPORTED Russian Vodka will be banned from the UK today as ministers impose more dire sanctions on Mad Vlad and his associates.
Love supermarket vodkasuch as Russian Standard had to disappear from UK shelves along with its trademarks, such as Mamont, Beluga and Hammer + Sickle.
Russian luxury goods such as caviar and diamonds will also be outlawed.
In addition, the UK will stop selling supercars, cigars and other luxury items to Russia in a coordinated move with EU and G7 nations to shield the Kremlin.
The country will also be removed from the World Trade Organization’s list of important most favored nation partners.
This move will stop Moscow’s export market with Additional tariffs and paperwork.
Import duties will be increased as Moscow’s privileges under global trade rules are pulled.
A Whitehall insider said the ban would apply to products “that will be subject to duty upon importation into the UK”.
Meanwhile, hundreds of other Russian oligarchs and businesses will be sanctioned on Tuesday for tough new laws that make it easier to freeze assets for friends of the Kremlin.
