On Thursday, Manchester, New Hampshire Police Chief Allen Aldenberg said “biological evidence” led her to believe she was killed in December 2019, but didn’t elaborate.

Aldenberg has worn his emotions on his sleeve since the case was first announced in December 2021, fighting back tears throughout the press conference.

The chief said they would do everything they could to “do justice to this sweet, innocent child and bring him home to his family”.

Convinced someone knows where Harmony is, he looked into the camera and said, “If you’re that person, come forward.”

HARMONY’S BROTHER’S FAMILY TALKS TO THE US SUN

Not forgotten in the devastating news is Harmony’s little brother, Jamison, who was adopted by his loving fathers, Blair and Johnathon Miller, in November 2019.

The siblings were attached at the waist as they hopped through the foster care system, and Jamison and the Miller family had a touching moment to celebrate Harmony’s eighth birthday.

Blair and Johnathon told The US Sun during the investigation that Jamison asked if Harmony was home every time the doorbell rang.

“Jamison insisted he see Harmony again,” they told the US Sun after the news conference ended.

“It was a constant urge to reunite that made us and others wonder where Harmony was. Because Jamison kept asking that question, it got the world asking the same thing.

“He was her voice.”

“PREPARE FOR THE WORST”

Harmony’s family and police tried to keep hope alive during the frustrating months-long investigation until an ominous breakthrough shattered their spirits in mid-June.

That’s when law enforcement at every level — local, state, and federal — flooded the former New Hampshire home of Harmony’s father, Adam Montgomery, and his estranged wife, Kayla.

The police were in front of the house for about 24 hours.

FBI agents once wheeled a refrigerator in and out of the house and secured it with special packaging.

Police urged Blair Miller, her younger brother’s stepfather, and her family to “prepare for the worst”.

LIMITED DISAPPEARANCE

Harmony was last seen alive in October 2019; However, police were not aware of her disappearance until two years later.

According to records from the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families, Harmony was torn between her mother’s care and DCF for most of her young life.

Police have narrowed the time of her disappearance to November 28 to December 10, 2019, but the months-long search has been frustrating.

At the time, police said they believed she had been murdered.

Her birth father, Adam, and his estranged wife, Kayla, have been arrested on separate charges and have obstructed the investigation.

ADAM’S ALLEGED ABUSE

The young girl was placed in the care of her father in 2019 when she was around five years old.

Adam, 31, is being held on second-degree assault charges over an alleged assault on Harmony in 2019.

The 31-year-old is also facing charges of violating custody and two administrative offenses for endangering the welfare of a child.

He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Adam’s brother Michael told police the 31-year-old physically abused Harmony and gave her a black eye.

A detective then spoke to Harmony’s uncle, Kevin Montgomery, and asked him about Harmony’s eye injury.

According to court documents, he said Adam told him in July 2019 that he [Adam] “beat her up [Harmony] around the house.”

Adam was reportedly furious with Harmony – who was five at the time – for making her watch her little brother, but he started crying, which infuriated the dad.

The uncle also said Adam beat up his daughter, forced her to stand in the corner for hours and ordered her to scrub a toilet with her toothbrush.
