Important update after wife hired hitman to murder ex-husband for $25,000 with cold-blooded motive revealed

A WOMAN has been convicted after using an encrypted messaging app to try to hire a hitman to assassinate her ex-husband.
Florida resident Gretchen Buselli, 48, planned a disturbing assassination scheme in which she agreed to pay an acquaintance $25,000 to punish her estranged ex, who she alleges molested her daughter.

Buselli was convicted on Friday after she was first arrested in September last year.
Investigators found Buselli approached a confidential witness with her violent plot in June 2021, court documents show.
The Tallahassee resident used the encrypted messaging service Signal and “US mail, phone calls and text messages” to solicit her ex-husband’s murder, the Justice Department said.
The acquaintance whom Buselli contacted alerted investigators to her conspiracy, prompting police to replace the requested hitman with an undercover cop.

Buselli unknowingly solicited police assistance in the murder of her ex, who she alleges abused her daughter.
She claimed that “she’s been dealing with this for a long time” and “the only way to protect her daughter is to get rid of her ex-husband forever,” according to a Law and Crime affidavit.
Buselli also stated in July 2021, “How she’s struggling with the custody situation with her ex-husband, that she has a judge who doesn’t care, and she believes the system is corrupt,” the affidavit said Explanation.
The convicted criminal negotiated a price with the undercover cop and agreed to drop off a $5,000 payment at a public park, the DOJ said.
She said she would provide the rest at a later date.
Investigators monitored her depositing the agreed payment before leaving and discarding the clothes she was wearing.
“After being advised by the undercover agent that her estranged husband was killed, Buselli said thank you,” the DOJ said.
Prosecutors said she made several false statements denying her involvement in the conspiracy when later questioned by law enforcement.

After a five-day trial, a federal jury in Tallahasse convicted Buselli of using an interstate trade facility in committing a contract killing and making false testimony to a federal official on Friday.
Her sentencing hearing is set for October 27, where she could face up to 10 years in prison.
