I’m married to an NFL head coach and the job makes it impossible to have a normal personal life

VERONIKA KHOMYN has provided a fascinating insight into what it means to be married to an NFL head coach.

The Ukrainian model, 32, married LA Rams boss Sean McVay earlier this year.

Khomyn and McVay tied the knot and partied at the posh Beverly Hills hotel in June.

The loving couple have known each other for about a decade and met when Veronika was a student at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.

McVay became the youngest NFL coach in history when he took charge of the Rams in 2017.

The newly married couple now live in a stunning 9,000 square foot rustic mansion in Hidden Hills.

But being the spouse of an NFL head coach isn’t as easy, or perhaps glamorous, as it seems.

Veronika has 86,000 followers on Instagram and recently did a Q&A session with her fans.

She opened the door to what it really means to be someone’s wife in the crazy world of the NFL — and how time with friends and family suffers as a result.

When asked, “What’s the hardest thing about being married to someone so committed to their job,” Veronika wrote, “Time together. In any case. Time for friends and family.

“When a job involves so much responsibility, it is difficult to be present in all areas of life at the same time.

“It is impossible.”

McVay led his team to the Super Bowl earlier this year and is dedicated to his work.

Veronika believes that losing time with friends and family is a small price to pay for being happy.

Khomyn continued: “He chose this career path, he has so much passion for football and he cares about our lives and our future.

“I also know what I signed up for. So it’s just one of those things that can be considered a temporary challenge.

“It’s also a blessing in many ways and as long as he’s happy, so am I.”

And she revealed that McVay will switch off from football if he leaves the Rams facility.

When asked if he was a 24/7 footballer, Verokina replied, “Coach Sean is just Coach Sean at work ;)”

Khomyn is now a real estate salesperson and says she helps with “buying, selling, renting and everything in between”.

She’s often spotted at Rams games supporting her husband – who may need her more than ever after LA’s poor 2022 season.

The defending Super Bowl champion is currently 3-6 with the injury-plagued side taking on the New Orleans Saints in Week 11.
