I’m forced to live off Easter eggs and I’ve already eaten 200 this year, says the father of two

A DAD claims an undiagnosed eating disorder is forcing him to live off a diet of Easter eggs — already 200 this year.

Ashley Kean, 30, says most foods make him sick and the only things he can stomach are chocolate, mashed potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and fruit.

The clerk, who eats up to six chocolate eggs a day, says, “My diet is pretty boring and I don’t enjoy it.

“I can’t eat with my two kids, so we can’t go out with the family and stuff like that. It’s massively frustrating.”

Ashley said he vomited trying food as a baby and has since developed a strong aversion to new foods for fear of becoming nauseous.

One possible diagnosis, he believes, is avoidable/restrictive feeding disorder, a disorder characterized by the avoidance of certain foods.

But the father-of-two says he has been to numerous doctors – including a “full MOT” – only to be told everything is normal and that he is in good health.

But Ashley, from Castleford, West Yorks, said: “What if that’s my diet? There is no meat or vegetables.

“It’s frustrating because where do I go from here?”
