In a video shared on social media by Redinkhomes, they explain that the first option is to raise the blinds to the ceiling, creating the illusion of tall and wide windows.

Next, turn on some LED lighting underneath the cabinets to add some shadow – this works especially well in the kitchen.

Moving into the living room, you can also use a lower sofa to make the room appear larger than it really is – a tried and tested interior designer tip.

And another option is to use one piece of report in each room.

Pendant lights and large, ornate plants are good options, while artwork is also a good way to distract the eye.

And while you can spend thousands on an original piece of art, you can also get prints at a budget-friendly price – which will still have the same effect.

Large mirrors, armchairs and full-height tiling are also effective ways to add value to your home.
