“I find it exciting and thrilling to be able to create amazing spaces without breaking the bank,” she said.

The first thing Kristen advises if you’re decorating your home is choosing the right paint color.

Sticking with a neutral pallet such as a warm white shade, she says, will instantly make your home look more expensive.

Kristen also says it gives you space to experiment with colors and textures with accessories.

Next up is how to decorate your accessories, and again she says this doesn’t need to break the bank and you can usually use second hand to do this.

The trick is to use the ‘rule of three’ and choose pieces of different heights, shapes and textures to create a chic vibe for your coffee table or cabinet.

Choosing the right furniture for your home is also important, if your ceilings are short or the room is small, try using smaller, lightweight pieces to accentuate the space.

Kristen also says to stop putting your furniture on the wall, create accents by using furniture that instantly makes the space more luxurious.

She adds that fiddling with furniture you already have in your living room can make a big impact when guests walk in.

Another effective way to add a touch of luxury to your home is to use slightly smaller rugs for your mattress.

This will make them look really full and plump instead of flat and live, Kristen recommends buying them two inches smaller than the cushion.

Lighting is a great way to add atmosphere to your home and you should use lights to add atmosphere.

According to Kristen, using lamps instead of ceiling lights will make your home cozy and luxurious.

Another option, for your kitchen, is to make sure all your eating utensils match, and she claims a mixed combo set can look cheap and messy.

Keeping your bathroom classy can be as simple as getting all white towels, says Kristen.

Again, mixing different colors can look messy and sticking to one instantly makes it look more expensive.

She added: “If you’re looking to do a little thing around the house to make it look classy.

“Get those matching towels and it’ll feel like a hotel.”

Kristen says that scent plays an important role in making your home more luxurious, lighting a scented candle is a great way to improve the environment as well as decorate the room.

The simplest way to make your home more luxurious is to eliminate clutter.

Keep everything on your countertop looking cluttered, but if you don’t have enough storage, Kristen recommends splitting products into suitable containers.

Users love Kristen’s easy and affordable ideas, with one person writing: “Love all the tips, Kristen! Well done!”

“Adjust the pillow size to fit the pillow on my bed just as much as I like a firm pillow.” Another user said.

A third viewer commented: “Great video! Lots of easy tips for you to do”.
