I’m an expert mechanic – drivers always forget easy AC vent trick to make their car colder faster

A seasoned auto mechanic shared some of his top air conditioning tips, including one that can cool your vehicle down quickly.
The unnamed engine expert said that if you point the vents up towards the roof of your car, the temperature in the cabin will drop faster and the cool air will be distributed more evenly.

On the Fixter blog, they wrote: “By pointing the vents at the roof of the car, the cold air circulates faster and more evenly throughout the vehicle.”
“It cools the car more effectively, keeping everyone cool – not just the driver.”
Another trick they revealed was not to put the air conditioning on full blast as soon as you get in the engine.
They said that while it goes without saying, it’s not the best way to cool the car down.
Since the compressor hasn’t had a chance to cool the air yet, you’re just moving the hot air that’s already in your car around at high speed.
The expert said it’s best to start with a low mode and then gradually increase it as the air cools.
Another tip said you could fix your air conditioning by opening the windows, even if only for a short time.
They advised that when it’s hot, it’s best to open the rear windows just a little, and only for a minute or two.
They say this causes the fans to push the hot air out of the car.
However, if you do, keep the front windows closed at all times.
When the air escapes at the front of your car, the air in the back stays hot and stagnant.
This comes after a car expert revealed how to avoid a repair scam that could cost hundreds of pounds.
Meanwhile, a mechanic said people are always shocked to see her in the workshop – but now she helps other women fix cars.
Although using air conditioning in your car can skyrocket fuel costs, online shoppers have a clever solution.
An option on TikTok featured a mini portable air conditioner that uses water to power it – and similar items have received rave reviews on Amazon.
For just £45, the mini air conditioner keeps the air cool on scorching hot days.
