I’m an ex-Walmart greeter – I stand by the reason I let people STEAL from the store

Brandon recalls instances where he checked the receipts of women who were clearly buying baby items.

“When I checked the receipt and saw Pampers or baby food [in the cart] That wasn’t on the receipt, I just said ‘Have a great day’.”

“Why? Because they are expensive and children are expensive in general.”

Brandon also explained that at his Walmart store — and within the company in general — there is no reward for catching people stealing.

He said that asset protection employees, who provide in-store security, according to Walmart’s website, are sometimes “pissed.”

“But did I care? No,” Brandon said.

“Because I made $11.50 during that time.”

The video has been viewed more than 2 million times, with some commenters calling Brandon a “hero”.

“I was probably fired for this, but you, sir, are a jewel. Some people fight and I’m not saying stealing is okay but you are an angel,” one person wrote.

Others were quick to call out the high prices of baby food and infant formula.

“A can of formula for my baby is $44. There’s no reason why it should cost that much,” wrote one TikToker.

“If every single person who walked into Walmart stole something, they would still be making billions of dollars,” said another.

The Sun has reached out to both Brandon and Walmart for comment.
