I’m a Walmart expert – the four knockoff brands don’t want to inform you that they’re selling over 60% off

WITH prices for many products at record highs and rising, shoppers are spending more time and money at discounters.

Dollar stores have seen sales increase, while big stores like Aldi and Walmart remain popular by offering cheap alternatives to branded items.

Vivian Tenorio shared Walmart own-brand products, which are cheaper and almost identical to more expensive brand names

YouTuber Vivian Tenorio, who runs the Secret Life of Vivian account, recently posted a video showing some of her favorite Walmart duplicates.

On her page, which has more than 365,000 subscribers, Vivian regularly reviews products and offers advice on how to save money and get the most bang for your buck.

According to Vivian, a self-proclaimed “Ph.D. in fakes,” Walmart also tends to make duplicates of best-sellers, meaning many popular items at Walmart have cheaper versions.

Each product is up to 67% cheaper than the branded alternative while still containing the same ingredients.

1. Shower sugar scrub

Vivian’s first product was a Tree Hut shea shower scrub, sold at Walmart for $7.78.

However, Walmart has developed its own shea scrub that sells under its Equate brand for $5.26.

According to Vivian, the branded scrub cost about $5 about six months ago, before inflation drove prices up.

Both products contain 18 ounces of scrub, but the Equate container is more than 30% cheaper.

Equate also has a wide range of exfoliating fragrances, all at the same price and cheaper than branded products.

2. Emergen-C and other OTC drugs

Emergen-C is a popular immune booster and vitamin supplement and normally costs $4.97.

Walmart sells an alternative Equate supplement with the same active ingredients, including the 1,000 milligrams of vitamin C that the brand name is known for.

Both packs contain 10 tablets.

The Equate supplement costs $4.12, almost 20% less than Emergen-C.

While the real-world savings is just 85 cents, Vivian points out that Walmart’s own brand again offers a frugal option.

Equate’s over-the-counter medications include discounted duplicates of other branded medications such as Tylenol and NyQuil.

3. Cetaphil Moisturizer

The biggest price difference Vivian cited was for the moisturizer.

Cetaphil, one of the top skincare brands in the US according to Statista, charges $19.99 for a can of its moisturizing body lotion.

Walmart offers a comparable product for just $6.47, or two-thirds the price of Cetaphil’s lotion.

While the Cetaphil container looks larger, both jars hold 16 ounces of moisturizer.

Vivian noted that the Walmart cream seemed a bit oilier, while the Cetaphil lotion was silky and smooth.

4. Acne Cream

For her final review, Vivian compared PanOxyl’s branded acne cream to Walmart’s store version.

The PanOxyl cream costs $9.48, while the Equate brand acne wash is exactly a dollar less.

While she notes that Equate’s cream is the most budget-friendly, Vivian recommends using CeraVe’s acne product for the best overall results.

CeraVe’s Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser retails for $11.99, and all three products contain the same active ingredients.
