I’m a Walmart expert – how I bought 21 Sharpies for only $2.50, but it’s listed for $10

WALMART has incredible clearance prices, but professional buyers know that sometimes they can pay even less.

The department store market is constantly lowering prices in all departments.

Strolling through the clearance area can help you snag items for just pennies.

However, prices aren’t always exactly what they seem.

Walmart is known for its “hidden clearance” where items are discounted online before they go on sale in-store.

Just like that, TikToker DailyDealDude was able to get a pack of 21 multicolored sharpies for just $2.50.

The original price was $9.97, which earned it a 75% discount.

Find hidden share

Eagle-eyed shoppers scan items with the Walmart app to check the price and ensure no deals are left behind.

Sometimes items that haven’t even moved to the clearance section are still offered for clearance prices.

Prices and availability vary from store to store, but you can use BrickSeek to check what your local Walmart has in stock and on sale.

Hidden clearance tips

TikTok user Sean, who runs the Super Unsexy account, shared his top tip for finding hidden clearance items at Walmart.

If you can’t find what you’re looking for, he suggests checking under the shelves.

“Sometimes it pays to look under the shelf, I know it’s crazy, but things keep falling here,” Sean advised his followers.

He found a hodgepodge of items under a shelf which he looked at and of course they were all discounted.

“I usually use my phone’s camera as my second set of eyes so I don’t have to sink too low,” Sean wrote.

In February, a TikToker named Saving_Mom shared how she got three 10-foot inflatable pools for just $5 each.

When she saw them on the shelf, they were marked for release, but she decided to scan them with the Walmart app anyway.

When she did, she found out it was actually $5 and got three of them.

Even in the midst of inflation, Walmart is still one of the cheapest places to shop, but you should know how much the prices have increased over the past two years.

See how people are still keeping their shopping budgets down despite these rising prices.
