A TRAVEL expert has revealed his top tips for packing for a trip.
His way will save you space and money.
A travel expert who follows Maxmilespoints on TikTok, shared four tips on her popular page.
First, he said to leave the luggage on the floor.
“Don’t leave your luggage on your bed.
“You take them through filthy airports including bathrooms,” he notes.
Next, he suggests rolling clothes to save space.
“Use packing blocks to stay organized and compact your clothes,” he adds.
Finally, the man said invest in a sturdy suitcase because airports are notorious for not handling luggage carefully.
This will save you from having to buy new suitcases, even if they are handled roughly.
However, many airports have policies in place to replace damaged baggage.
If this is the case, check with your representative to see if you can file your claim while at the airport.
Some users are excited about these travel tips, and one travel blogger came up with a memory hack of her own.
“If you want to go crazy, roll up your clothes and pack them in a two-gallon Ziploc bag to get all the air out,” she advises.
Others insist that rolling clothes is the way to go – but it’s not the only way to make the best use of luggage space.
Another person previously revealed on Reddit that they don’t fold or roll their clothes.
“I stopped rolling and folding and my clothes wrinkle less when I arrive and I can carry more in the same space,” they wrote.
“I put the first item on the bed or the floor.
“Then I put the next item rotated 90 degrees on it.”
He or she continues this rotation technique until everything is resolved.
“Then I folded all four corners and stuffed it in my suitcase,” concluded the Reddit user.
