I’m a trash parent – I reuse everything instead of cutting everything out and even making cups out of mustard bottles

One “TRASH parent,” who finds an alternative use for her trash, has revealed the spice dispenser that makes the perfect juice cups for kids.

Mindy took to TikTok to share her tip, starting her video by saying, “My name is Mindy and I’m a trash parent.”

She continue: “The purpose of this video is just to inform you that spice containers make really great sippy cups.

“I have these little flexible straws for my toddler, but regular straws work just as well.”

She then demonstrated how the straws fit into the hole to hold a bottle of mustard and Chick-Fil-A sauce.

“These are really great for filling, you can use the lids, toss them in a diaper bag and take them out, and there’s no stress if they get misplaced or damaged,” she added.

“I just want to share!”

However, Mindy’s suggestion divided opinion among those who commented on the video.

“A CEO of a plastic company refuses to use plastic in his home – what does that tell you??” one person wrote.

“Interesting idea but make sure it’s not made of #1 plastic, or polyethylene terephthalate (PET) or chemicals from the plastic that will leach into the drink,” another added.

Mindy later returned to the post in response to comments from haters, writing: “If you don’t feel comfortable reusing plastic, that’s okay!

“Don’t try to tell anyone what to do – Just help people! (Can reduce purchases of juice boxes).”

She added: “I don’t use these for hot drinks or in the dishwasher. I get a few uses before they get recycled.”

But others participated fully for the hack.

“Oh. Mine. GOD. VISION!” One mother commented, while another added: “One more thing to backfill for a while! Thank you for this, I’m totally doing this.”

“It’s not trash. It’s treasure! Wish I had that hack when I was a kid,” another wrote.
