SOME fans in the bodybuilding community have claimed that a new Mr. Olympia champion looks better than Arnold Schwarzenegger in his prime.

Canadian pro bodybuilder and fitness influencer Chris Bumstead recently won his fourth consecutive Mr. Olympia title in the Classic Physique division this December.

Bumstead took to his Instagram to post about the performance and received praise from fans and peers.

During his dominant reign in the division, Bumstead was often compared to Arnold Schwarzenegger, whom many consider the father of bodybuilding.

Originally from Austria, Schwarzenegger brought the sport to a global audience via Essentially Sports in the 1970s.

The former California governor, known as “Austrian Oak,” won seven Mr. Olympia titles while competing, according to The Sporting News.

For fans, both are greats in bodybuilding, but recently a heated debate has erupted over who is ultimately the best – Bumstead or Schwarzenegger.

The conversation began with a video posted by the gymonsters_ Instagram account, a site dedicated to bodybuilding content.

The clip was split down the middle, with Bumstead posing in one half and Schwarzenegger in the other.

Many fans supported Bumstead’s physique in favor of Schwarzenegger’s.

A few other fans still sided with Bumstead but felt Schwarzenegger could still beat the four-time Mr. Olympia champion in some areas.

However, many bodybuilding fans made a strong case for Arnold.

Many noted arguments such as the improvements in supplements and sports enhancers that gave Bumstead an edge.
