A SELF-MADE millionaire has revealed he’s managed to pay off almost $500,000 in debt thanks to his string of side hustles.

Jeff Lerner has revealed that transcribers who record audio could make up to $3,000 a month.

Lerner founded the education platform Entre Institute, which amassed more than 200,000 users in its first three years.

He managed to start the business after taking several side jobs, which allowed him to pay off $495,000 in debt.

Lerner sold goods online and also tested products while raising the money he needed to pay off his debts.

Earners can transcribe audio and make up to $3,000 a month, Lerner told CNBC.

Sites like TranscribeMe could make a lucrative offer to transcribers.

Some sites will pay you to transcribe as little or as much audio as you want.

Transcribers may have the opportunity to earn more based on their experience.

For example, you have a legal or medical background.

Lerner has also recommended several other side hustles that could become a handy extra for cash-strapped citizens.

Photo agencies are notorious for paying photographers to upload images to their websites.

They can even be old photos that you took years ago.

Sites like Shutterstock and Depositphotos are constantly looking to expand their collection of copyright-free images for use by users such as bloggers and marketing teams.

Meanwhile, sites like PlaylistPush pay you to curate music playlists.

Motorists who urgently need extra money can turn to services such as Getaround.

It allows drivers to rent out their cars to people who are looking for a ride.

Lerner revealed that one client made a whopping $3,500 a month by renting out his car two or three days a week.

If you don’t want to rent out your car, you can fill out surveys on the side, especially if you have an opinion.

Sites like Survey Junkie offer the opportunity to be part of paid focus groups where participants can earn up to $150 an hour.

Meanwhile, a designer revealed that she had been remodeling homes to make some extra money, claiming she made $250,000 from a property.

Jean Liu told Business of Home that she and a contractor bought a home for $600,000.

They spent $250,000 renovating the property before selling it for $1.1 million.

She said it was her “biggest success story”.

And a frugal TikToker known as Raiken Profit has claimed he’s made thousands from his side hustle of selling books.
