It’s NOT your closet that’s the problem… it’s your closet.
A personal stylist says your unorganized closet is the reason you’re having trouble organizing, not because you “don’t have enough clothes”.
In one videotapes shared on social media, a personal stylist in NYC named Bee has shared her eight simple tricks for revamping your wardrobe to keep it organized and easy. Sort.
FILT YOUR DOCTORS
Her first tip is to NEVER hang your sweater.
Hanging your sweaters can easily stretch them out, so instead, stylists recommend folding and stacking them to your liking.
To keep things tidy on her shelves, she used acrylic shelves to make use of any space she could get her hands on.
Instead of hanging sweaters, you’ll hang pants.
She says to buy your pants by folding them over the hanger and separating in a style, eg hanging your jeans together, your trousers together, etc.
She recommends hanging them from shorts to trousers and from the darkest wash to the lightest wash.
Clean hacks and tips
Here are some tips to help you with your next house cleaning:
“Get as creative as you want just make sure all the pants are grouped together,” she says.
USE VELVET HANGERS
Next, the stylist suggests investing in velvet hooks to hang accessories like scarves without worrying about them slipping off and getting stuck in your closet.
Velvet hangers are also much flatter than plastic hooks and will save you extra space.
TEAM WITH BLAZERS AND THE RIGHT PARTS
Continue your wardrobe shopping by grouping all your coats and suits together.
The expert says designate the area next to your pants for easy outfit selection.
She then suggests grouping dresses and shirts, then storing your coats at the bottom of the closet because that’s the last thing you’ll wear.
USING SHOES HOLDER
To make it easier to see the shoes, she suggests displaying all of your shoes on a shoe shelf.
Use the top shelf of your closet to stack all your shoes, or buy an affordable shoe shelf to keep your shoes organized.
Easily display any of your accessories by gluing the wall hooks to the inside of your wardrobe.
She easily hangs hats and shoulder straps on hooks, but they can also be used for scarves, belts, and other costume accessories.
ACCESSORIES STORE IN BINS
To preserve the smaller clutch bags, experts recommend placing them in the clutch compartment.
This will allow you to easily browse through your bag options and grab one without pulling everything out.
She also says to store your sunnies in a compartment with sunglasses.
The flat box will help you store them safely while also saving you space.
INSTALLING STRONG BAG IN CLOSET JOINT STOCK COMPANY
To keep your wardrobe (and your clothes) smelling fresh, experts say keep small bags of lavender in the corners of your closet.
After all, if we smell good, we feel good, right?
