I’m a nurse – there’s a secret about diapers and other products that we newborns leave behind, and it will save you money

But one nurse known on TikTok as @mikiraiofficial has revealed a way you can save money right at the hospital.

In her opinion, it’s not actually illegal to take the products and diapers out of the hospital room after the birth – and it could save you a lot of money.
Miki is a registered nurse who recently responded to a video of a new dad seemingly “stealing” diapers from the hospital room after his partner gave birth.
In the video, Miki first asks, “You know that’s illegal, right?”
But she quickly explains that it’s just a joke: “We have to throw everything away when you leave, so you might as well take it home with you.”

Miki basically reveals that it’s definitely not illegal to take diapers and other products home from the hospital.
In fact, most nurses like Miki seem to be encouraging parents to take these products home too, given some comments on the viral TikTok.
“My nurse told me that my insurance would pay for it and that I should take everything,” said one viewer.
Another new parent explained: “When we brought our twins home the nurses packed everything for us! We were so thankful!”
Other nurses even went to Miki’s post to support her, with one echoing her comments: ‘I purposely stock a lot of stuff before discharge so families could take more. Diapers are ✨expensive✨.”
Miki’s post was so well received by other nurses and newborn parents that the video itself has now garnered over 1.5 million views and nearly 3,000 comments.

With today’s prices of diapers and other newborn products, it’s certainly nice to know that new parents can take something home right away.
It also helps to know that you will not be arrested in this case. Many parents would like to thank @mikiraiofficial.
