I’m a mom with 800 tattoos all over my face and body… I forget why people stare at me until my son reminds me

A MUM covered in tattoos from head to toe has told how she forgets she even has them – despite having more than 800 etchings.
Valerie, 34, of San Diego, California, says she often catches strangers staring at her in amazement and catches herself asking her son why.
The mother of two got her first tattoo when she was 14.
And now, 20 years later, ink covers a whopping 78 percent of her body — including her face.
she said For real: “I walk down the street and I ask myself: ‘Why are these people staring at me?’.
“I’m right to ask my son what’s on my face? And he says, ‘You have face tattoos’.
“I forget, they are just a part of me!”
valerie outstanding tattoos These include an all-black left arm and a peculiar pseudo-scar that runs across her eyelids and cheek.
The mother, who works as a painter, sees her tattoos as an expression of art.
But not everyone feels the same, and the ink — especially the one on her face — draws a lot of negative attention.

People have even accused the mother of setting a bad example for her three-year-old and 15-year-old sons.
Though she says there’s a misconception that “only crazy people tattoo their faces” — which she says is wrong.
Despite the negativity, Valerie – who has nearly 69,000 followers on Instagram – is proud of her ink.
So much so that she is eager to get more tattoos – including her mother’s date of birth on her face.
She explained: “It’s the way I express myself.”
The mother – who describes her look as “a modern day Harley Quinn” – the Joker’s colorful henchman in Batman – made a very different look before covering herself in ink.
Amazing images show what appears to be a completely different person with no tattoos on her face – she also has hair of a different color.
Although Valerie says she wouldn’t want it any other way because “it’s a look I’m comfortable with.”
But Valerie isn’t alone in her passion for insane amounts of tattooing.
A mother of seven children inked every inch of her face with roses, hearts and even an England flag.
Melissa Sloan, from Knighton on the Powys-Shropshire border, says people stop and stare at her and tell her she looks like “something from another universe”.
But the 45-year-old insists: “I like the way I am. You only live once. Do what you want.”
