I’m a mechanic – men tell me to ask a man for help when the going gets tough, but here I kill it

A FEMALE ship’s mechanic has demonstrated that she does not let a significant job challenge prevent her from fulfilling her shipboard duties.
The technician showed off her ability to change a tugboat’s stubborn gear oil and filter in a video, but one certain viewer remained unimpressed in the clip’s comments section.

Tink’s (@jordynrafeala) TikTok clip shows her using a strap wrench to turn the oil filter on her tow boat’s inboard motor.
As Tink struggled to detach the filter from its thread, several viewers noticed that she was turning the wrong way.
Others came to this mechanic’s defense, noting that her phone’s front-facing camera automatically reverses filmed images unless she disables the option.
Next, Tink tries in vain to adjust her strap wrench to get a better grip on the filter.

This naval engineer then got creative and hammered a screwdriver into the filter for more turning leverage.
Tink removed the unyielding filter after spending a few moments slowly unthreading the device from its thread.
As Tink successfully completed the arduous task of her job, one viewer commented, “Just get a man.”
Another TikTok user responded to the rejection, writing, “How to tell someone is single.”
Luckily, other viewers applauded Tink for sticking through the pesky filter change.
One TikTok account joked, “I would do it from the other side and smash my hand and file an employment contract.”
Another viewer wrote, “I would have removed the screws from the top piece and replaced the whole thing,” along with several crying laughing emojis.
