“Many of you probably already know this hack. I even knew about it but forgot to use it,” @risadoesmakeup said at the beginning of her short video.

With 90,000 followers and over 301,000 likes on TikTok, the Las Vegas-based beauty content creator and mom shares beauty tips, tricks, and hacks with her large following on the platform.

In the 90-second video she shared on TikTok, Risa shows off a long receipt laden with coupons from CVS after spending “$50 or $60 on drugstore makeup.”

While the beauty guru has a lot to do with drugstore makeup, “prices are going up at drugstores,” she said.

Her favorite item retailed for $19.99, so she steadied herself from buying it during another drugstore beauty trip.

A keen user of the ExtraCare rewards program offered to CVS customers, Risa was able to stack up coupons and get the item for nearly 50 percent of the retail price.

The secret isn’t just in using the ExtraCare coupons – it’s in spending too little money so customers get the coupons before they make a big purchase.

“The trick is don’t buy everything you want at once,” she explains.

“Buy some things.

“Check out, get your coupons, and then go back and use your rewards to purchase those items.”

Risa also tells TikTok users that there is no waiting period for ExtraCare reward coupons. They can be printed on a receipt and used for another purchase on the same day.

ExtraCare Rewards Members at CVS only need a name and phone number to sign up. Perks include 2% off every purchase and weekly deals.

ExtraCare BeautyClub members can enjoy a free gift of their choice each month when they spend $30 or more on CVS beauty products.

Risa isn’t the only beauty guru divulging little-known drugstore secrets.

Internet beauty expert Rocio Soria recently revealed the top drugstore dupes from CVS and Walgreens that closely mimic high-end beauty brands.

The widely coveted Dermablend concealer retails for $28. Soria’s review found L’Oréal Infallible Concealer to give the same results for just $10.

The hula bronzer makeup lovers can’t stop over retails for $30.

For the exact equivalent of Hula’s Caramel shade, check out Wet N Wild’s Color Icon Bronzer in shade Sandy Beaches for just $4.
