A CHEAP MOM has admitted she hates washing up so much she makes her kids eat off paper plates every time.
She claimed that it not only saves her money but also time.
Jessica Smith admitted on social media after a trip to Sam’s Club: “I’m sure someone will be upset about this, but we sometimes eat off paper plates for dinner when I don’t feel like doing the dishes.
“I absolutely have to share this tip with you. You can buy 250 paper plates or 750 food trays from Sam’s Club for the same price.
“You eat on paper plates too, because you don’t like doing the dishes. That’s the best way to save money,” she concluded, calling it a lazy mom hack.
After this “money-saving” hack, she also shared one follower’s alternative to paper towels.
“When I couldn’t find paper towels early in the pandemic, I used coffee filters ($500 for $10) for everything – Microwave, snacks, cleaning,” revealed another mom.
Unfortunately, Smith didn’t get the response she expected.
Many went to the comments section to smack her for producing too much garbage.
One person wrote, “While the rest of the world is doing our best to REDUCE our waste, America wears the crown of laziness here.”
A second commented: “Tell me you’re from the US without telling me…”
“The best way to save money would be not to buy them,” added a third.
However, many people defended the mother, admitting that they would also rather spend time with their family.
“Why is it always ‘You’re destroying the environment’ and never ‘I can see that you value family time, so I got you a cleaning service!’?” one person commented.
A second shared: “I’ll admit right away this will be a staple in my home now.”
And a third said: “We need all the breaks we can get! Life is way too short to be standing around a hot, soggy sink after a nice meal. Paper versus soap, hot water and time.”
Previously, another lazy mom suggested putting an extra large lazy susan, about 18 inches wide, in your corner closet so you can easily rotate the tray to find what you’re looking for.
The shape of a corner cabinet can make it extremely difficult to reach back or display your condiments or sauces, but this rotating tray helps showcase all of your stowed items with just one twist.
“You can even double down with a second,” she suggested.
In her video, she featured a much smaller Lazy Susan on top of her large one.
This way she can easily access everything in the center of the Lazy Susan just by flipping the smaller one.
The commenters were so excited about this space-saving idea and said things like “Yes! I need this” and “Two Lazy Susans! double the fun.”
