I’m a hairdresser, these are the four mistakes that will ruin your hair

THERE are a lot of things that stylists recommend for us to start getting luscious hair.
But this hair pro shared the things we need to cut out of our hair routine forever.

Hair extraordinaire Monique Rapier recently shared her top tips on Instagram.
The pro said: “All these things damage your hair!
“Even if you’re using the best hair products, the smallest things can damage your hair and cause it to break.”
The first thing the pro said hair lovers should stop is straightening your hair back into a trendy low bun.
The stylish look can lead to hair loss, Monique explained.
Due to the tension the look creates, your hair follicles may fall out over time.
It’s also a “recipe for split ends,” the hair lover said.
Opt for a looser style for a similar look that will cause less long-term damage.
Using a coarse cotton towel on your damp or wet hair is also a big no-no.
The rough texture of the fabric almost always leads to split ends.
“Switch to a microfiber towel and you’ll thank yourself,” she added.
While it’s okay to put some heat on your hair, you should avoid using it on flyaways.
Trying to banish those pesky hairs with heat tools will only make the problem worse, according to the pro.
Take care of them and they will eventually grow and look so much healthier.
Monique says the last thing people do wrong when it comes to hair care is brushing too much.
Although brushing is necessary, it creates friction and can damage the hair cuticle.
In particular, you should avoid brushing your hair when it’s wet, as that’s when it’s at its weakest and more prone to splitting and breaking.
Viewers love the simple tips: “Yes to the high-flyers!”
Another said: “It’s like you’re specifically calling me, I’ve religiously put my hair in a cotton towel.”
