According to the dating app Happn, 2022 is supposed to be an important year for dating.
Furthermore, there are specific traits people are looking for and dating trends that people looking for a mate are bound to see or experience.
According to research from Happen, one-third of 18- to 34-year-olds are ready to settle down and find a life partner by 2022.
Of those surveyed, 37% are simply looking for a relationship, while 32% hope to find their forever partner and are ready for married life.
And if you have any of the traits that are most sought after, love can be a little easier to find.
According to research, the top five traits people are looking for in a future mate are the ability to be caring, kind, funny, loyal, and likeable.
Physically, people are attracted to the “friendly smile”, which accounts for 61% of the vote.
Behind that, people care about body shape, height, eye color and whether the person has natural features or not.
What’s more, dating expert Ipek Kucuk predicts that there will be emerging dating trends this year – and even coined phrases for each.
According to Ipek, the noun simply means traveling with a new romantic partner.
The Sun spoke to a couple who did it in 2021 after they met on TikTok.
Surname got engaged in their first face-to-face meeting and then embark on a cross-country trip that includes a hitchhiking in Las Vegas.
“I always say the only way I want to get married [is] in some stupid Vegas way so I just know [it was meant for me]”, shared Danielle Gross recently married.
While this trend is not brand new, Ipek certainly believes it will be hot in 2022.
While embracing new experiences, singles may find someone on their way, in their journey, she says.
“Whether these encounters turn into lasting romances or yearlong summer loves, these places and these people are good for the soul.”
The term means “fast-forwarded romances,” and Ipek predicts that’s exactly what to expect in 2022.
“A lot of single people, especially those who are feeling the time pressure that society has to endure, will worry about whether their time has passed when they find their soul mate,” says Ipek. ‘.
As such, people should expect to see relationships progressing at a faster rate than usual in an attempt to “make up for lost time in the past two pandemic-ridden years”.
According to Ipek, single people will accept their “wild side” when looking for new relationships.
“Now, being an Anti-adult doesn’t mean being irresponsible,” she notes.
“We believe we will see singles embrace freedom (when it comes) and have fun, doing no harm in the process.”
As one might have guessed, this new verb means “reincarnate yourself, in the context of dating”.
This means that people simply take the time to think about their wants, needs, and values, and change their lives and dating habits accordingly.
HERE & NOW-ERS
This phrase is all about people living in the moment.
“While it is important to have goals and set goals, it is equally important to focus on how we are feeling in this moment… and I know this is easier said than done!” Ipek explained.
“This year, we will see a large number of free-spirited data scientists who are currently living.
“There are no ‘guidelines for life’ that we all have to follow.
“There is no box where we have to tick certain age milestones.
She added: “Here & Now-ers will take that imaginary rule book and burn it!”
However, no matter what people do with their dating lives, Ipek says the most important thing is to do what makes you happy.
“You don’t always feel in complete control of your love life and that’s okay, but there’s no harm in reminding yourself that your choices matter most.
2022 is yours after all”.
