A cleaning expert says her 99p hack is the best way to remove dirt from car windows.

Seep’s Laura Harnett said you can clean your windshield without using foul-smelling or harsh chemicals.

The only ingredients you need are white vinegar, warm water, and some dish soap.

First, mix the water and dish soap — before foaming the solution over the windows.

Be careful not to stir up soapy water as it will leave milky streaks on your windshield.

Laura told the Express: “Wash off any soapy residue and residue with fresh, clean water.”

“Purified water or rainwater works even better — tap water contains minerals like calcium and sodium that can leave marks on glass if not wiped off thoroughly.”

Next, clean the windows with equal parts white vinegar and water mixed in a spray bottle.

Wipe away the spray with a dry kitchen towel and your windows should be sparkling clean.

Laura said: “You might want to clean each window twice if it’s particularly dirty, but this method is very effective and one cleaning should work just fine.”

Dishwashing liquid is 55p at Asda and Stardrops white vinegar spray is 99p.
