One MUM has urged people to start “normalizing” fast food dinners for kids, noting that she’s tired of constantly seeing perfectly healthy meals being served to toddlers. Go.
Sharing a TikTok video of herself stacking hot dogs, fries and baked beans on her child’s plate, mother Kelsey Heward wrote: “Let’s normalize serving dishes like this to toddlers ours as well as the delicacies.”
“Sometimes teas like this,” she captioned clip.
Since posting the video, which has been viewed more than 85,000 times, viewers were quick to praise Kelsey for her honesty.
“My lg (little daughter) yesterday ate scrambled eggs, beans and toast, not always a gourmet,” one person wrote.
Kelsey replied, “Exactly! I work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, so on those days, I’m ready to go to bed at 6.”
“One day they really don’t want to eat delicious things, they’re just small versions of us,” another commented.
“Can’t force them if they don’t want to, feeding is best.”
“Fish fingers and alphabet shapes here tonight, I just don’t have the strength to do anything else,” wrote a third.
“We did the same thing tonight. Beans are 1 out of 5 a day,” commented another, and Kelsey replied, “Exactly. He also had blueberries afterwards so it’s fine. is fine.”
In a separate video, Kelsey shares she is making another dinner for her young son as she cooks rice with frozen beans and chili.
Then she adds some passata, mixed herbs, before placing the rice mixture on top of a large mushroom and sprinkling it on top of grated cheese.
Then Kelsey drops the mushroom into the air fryer and serves it along with some pepperoni slices.
“He’s not a fan of mushrooms,” she captioned the clip.
