I’m 22 years old but I have the body of a child

A 22-year-old WOMAN whose illness left her trapped in an 8-year-old’s body for life has revealed the difficulties she faces in her daily life, including her boys. Small develops feelings for her.

Shauna Rae from the US developed a rare form of brain cancer when she was just 6 months old and had to undergo chemotherapy that slowed her growth.

At 6 months old, Shauna underwent chemotherapy for a rare brain cancer that left her growth retarded and at the age of 22 was trapped inside the body of an 8-year-old

At just 3 feet 10, the average height of an eight-year-old girl, Shauna constantly finds herself mistaken for a child, which can prove difficult when out and about.

In the most recent episode of her TLC documentary, I Am Shauna Rae, she explains that going to the beach is particularly difficult.

Shauna says: “When I think of the beach, I think bathing suits and bathing suits, they’re fine

“It’s hard because now that my breasts are mature, I need padding and no baby swimwear has padding and the bottom is even worse.

“They’re uncomfortable somewhere, if they’re not working at the bottom, they’re working at the top if they’re not working at the top then they’re working at the bottom.”

Aside from the wardrobe malfunctions, Shauna also dreads traveling to the beach because of the attention she attracts from the kids.

“The beach can also be a challenge because there are kids there and it’s a whole different thing because I look like a kid and I’m treated like a kid,” she said.

“Everywhere I go, there are children waving, looking at me, some red-faced boys looking at me.

“It’s really weird because kids are just attracted to me.

“Usually when a kid comes up to me I respect that, if they want to color I will color with them but I usually make sure that is gratifying for their parents because usually parents understand. that I’m a little bigger than the kid thinks.”

While Shauna has no problem dealing with little girls, she finds boys much more awkward.

Shauna added: “I feel extremely awkward when I’m with my son, I don’t feel awkward when I’m with my daughter. Girls seem to understand more about the human body and what happens to women.

“Boys are like ‘why do you have bomb-boms?'”

The documentary shows Shauna facing problems when trying to do ordinary things that a 22-year-old woman does in her daily life.

We see Shauna turn her back on a bar when the bartender says “we don’t allow children”, is asked how old she is when trying to get a tattoo, and even asked about her age when she tries to get a tattoo. Try to sign up for a gym.

Shauna’s mother Patricia “Patty” Schrankel also spoke in the documentary about the heartbreaking time when her daughter was diagnosed with brain cancer as a child.

Patty said: “Shauna was six months old when we found out she had brain cancer.

“I feel, I guess almost guilty, that she’s going to have to go through this for the rest of her life, so all I can do is protect her,” added Patty.

Shauna explains exactly what happened after she underwent chemotherapy, and how this affected her development.

“My pituitary gland was barely functioning because of chemotherapy. The doctor told me I’m done growing. My bones have fused and my height is 3 feet 10 inches,” said Shauna.

Shauna also went on to reveal how her dating life has been affected, explaining that she is single and has always had a tendency to attract the wrong type of guy.

“I attract creeps, a hole and fools. It’s scary to put yourself out there, but you have to take risks to be happy,” Shauna said.
