iFixit iPhone 15 teardown video goes online

Popular tech website iFixit has shared a video of the disassembly of the newly launched iPhone 15.

Every year, iFixit hosts a video teardown of the latest iPhone, and this time is no different. However, the brand has teamed up with Evident Scientific to take a closer look at the device using a microscope. At first glance, the inside of the iPhone 15 looks quite similar to last year’s model, with the notable difference that the microphone on the iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 15 is now repairable.

When the battery was removed, a warning sign was revealed that read, “Warning: Only trained technician can service.” It was also noted that the 48MP camera in the base models of the iPhone 15 is smaller. Additionally, iFixit noted that the motherboard is now easier to repair.

In the end, iFixit gave the latest iPhone a 4/10 for repairability. The official teardown video can be viewed on iFixit’s official YouTube channel.
