I work at the Home Depot – a buyer thought he could steal with a sneaky tool trick, but I watched the whole time

A HOME Depot employee has told how a man was filmed trying – and fail – to the shop lift from the hardware store.
As retailers tackle theft by adopting new security technologies and sometimes even hiring full-time security guards, thieves have had to adapt.
A would-be thief has been caught Video attempts to steal hundreds of dollars in tools from a Texas home depot.
TikTok influencer moxie world (@lilmoxie) stalked the suspect for hours as he criss-crossed the store trying to avoid detection.
“He went to the hardware and stole small drill bits,” he said.
He observed and recorded the man attempting to hide the pieces in his khaki pants.

“He wore shorts underneath and sort of stuffed them in,” Moxie said in the clip.
But when the man, after strolling through the store for a few hours, tried to go to the checkout with a few items, his cunning plan failed.
“As he was paying, one of the drills fell through his leg sleeve … and he just looked at us,” Moxie said.
The man looked at Moxie, who was standing nearby, but tried to play it off.
A loss prevention officer approached the man and asked him to get out of the queue for a check, the influencer said.
Moxie claimed the man protested and asked why he was being singled out, even though he had done nothing wrong.
According to Moxie, the police were called and the man was arrested and charged with theft.
The video shared last week has already received hundreds of likes and multiple comments.
“It just kept getting worse, my God. I bet he learned his lesson,” one person replied.
“Imagine how many times he did that,” joked another.
