I won the $110,000 lottery jackpot using my kids’ birthday numbers

A RETIRED teacher has won the $110,000 lottery jackpot after using her children’s birthday combinations as the winning numbers.

Louis Paine Jr, 77, said he was “astonished” to take home the prize after buying a 5 Cash withdrawal in North Carolina on February 1st.

“Of course, I don’t believe it,” he said North Carolina Education Lottery.

Louis has spent 40 years as an educator and says he loves playing Lottery because it raises money for local schools.

“Give back to education is very important,” he said.

“It’s the best we’ve had in our country.”


Louis says he wants to invest some of his winnings, which amount to $78,122 after required federal and state tax deductions.

He added that he will split the rest of the cash with his family.

It’s unclear if he always plays by his children’s birthdays.

Louis ‘success comes later another North Carolina lottery winner took home $264,419 after using the same numbers for 16 years.

Lola Allen also won with a $1 Cash 5 ticket.

She told lottery officials there she was “paralyzed” with shock when she found out her numbers had been dialed.


Lola, also a retired teacher, said: “From the beginning, I used the same numbers.

“They are my favorite numbers, so I stuck with them.

“When it all fell into place, I was shocked. I was numb.”

The Sun reported last month about a military vet won $4 million after he used numbers from a fortune cookie.

Gabriel Fierro, 60, bought the sweet while dining with his wife at the Red Bowl Asian Bistro in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Fierro received an email he won’t leave him “dumbfounded” and his wife thinks it’s an April Fools prank or prank.

And a scratch machine in Maryland won the jackpot for the third time in three years and bought all the winning tickets from the same store.
