I won £40,000 on a scratch card – I spent the money all at once but I don’t regret it

That’s because she managed to climb the property ladder and buy her first home.

The student who won the money about a year ago took to her TikTok account @sydneykidneybean to share her lottery winning story.

Sydney explained that she won $50,000 – or just over £40,000 – on a $5 scratch card.

But she always knew she wanted to buy a house, so put the money into it.

In a clip posted to Sydneykidneybean’s account, she explained: “The money’s already gone.

“It’s been a year since I used it to pay down a house and after all the dues and a few fixes it’s gone – I’m living paycheck to paycheck again.”

“But it’s okay because I have a house now.”

Sydney continued: “I really wanted a house back then.

“This investment was very important to me and I’m proud of it.”

It’s not uncommon for people to publicly share their lottery winnings.

A woman claimed she’d won £70million on the EuroMillions lottery – and was totally shocked to find out what happens when you win big.

Another millionaire said her life changed forever when she managed to hit a £148million jackpot.

Meanwhile, another man revealed how he defied the odds and managed to win the same lottery draw twice.
