I won $1.3 million in the lottery despite picking a cheaper tip – my strategy for winning a prize when you’re short on cash

A woman in Spain landed a massive jackpot prize after spending her days begging for money on the city streets.
In the La Florida neighborhood of Alicante, an anonymous woman bought a lottery ticket at a tobacconist last Thursday and sent her home with a prize worth $1.3 million.

The winner was reportedly well-known in the neighborhood as she routinely asked residents for loose change so she could invest in lottery tickets.
Last week, the unnamed woman’s ticket for Spain’s BonoLoto had the six perfect numbers to win the lottery’s first prize – resulting in her receiving a cash prize worth $1,300,631.
One of the tobacconist’s owners, Mariángeles Torregrosa, told the Spanish newspaper Información that the woman sat outside the shop every day from 9am to 2pm and usually bought tickets for BonoLoto and Primitiva – though not Euromillion because the tickets were too expensive.
The shopkeeper reported that the woman entered the shop after realizing she had won the fateful ticket. She said to the workers: “You solved my life.”

“She came yesterday and told us that we had solved her life,” Desirée Agorreta, co-owner of the tobacconist, told the Spanish outlet.
“We made someone happy that everyone in the neighborhood loved. The woman had debts and economic problems.”
The exciting win comes as three lucky lottery winners shared the strategies that earned them the biggest Powerball jackpot in history.
When they won $1.6 billion in 2016, the winners had two choices: to claim around $533 million before taxes as an annuity or $327.8 million as a lump sum.
The three Powerball winners are the biggest lottery jackpot winners in the world, according to LiveAbout.com.
Tennessee’s John and Lisa Robinson, Florida’s Maureen Smith and David Kaltschmidt, and California’s Marvin and Mae Acosta bought the three winning tickets.

When choosing their numbers, two of the winners used the same strategy and chose the quick pick method.
However, Maureen Smith said she plays the same numbers she has been using for about 30 years.
