A DINER was left with a tearful bill after misreading the menu at a Gordon Ramsay steakhouse but claims he has no regrets about it.
Jeffrey Paige visited the TV chef’s restaurant at Harrah’s in Atlantic City, New shirt with his girlfriend last August.
He was about to have some Wagyu beef but realized that the triple Japanese A5 was also on the menu.
The A5 is the most premium possible and the most luxurious beef diners can buy.
Jeffrey claims it costs £26 ($35) for four ounces, compared with around £59 ($78) for 8 ounces of Wagyu beef, Mirror report.
“I never had a real deal with Kobe,” he said. It’s like nothing else you will have. Melts in your mouth delicious. ”
Jeffrey’s partner treated me to beef wellington and the couple ordered a side dish, appetizer, and drink.
But, he seems to have misread it menu because beef is $35 an ounce with a minimum order size of four ounces.
He said: “I wish the chef Ramsay was there to come out and order me a donut for this f**king up lol.
“I enjoyed it. No ragrets con (sic).”
Jeffrey’s costly ordeal has sparked a flurry of discussions among Reddit users online.
One said: “That’s pretty common in super high end places. You have to be really careful. “
Another joked: “What you buy is a $600 story. For the rest of your life, every time someone says “this is a good steak,” you can say, “Yeah but”. “
A third commented: “You should have ordered the f**king donkey.”
