Sophia Rose (@Sophiarosekellly) told viewers in a TikTok clip, “It’s almost like a PSA not to do what I did.”

She recalled being told when she registered her car with the Los Angeles Department of Motor Vehicles that she owed thousands of dollars in parking fines.

The employee at the DMV center warned that she owed money for 74 traffic tickets.

The lifestyle influencer then showed several sheets of paper listing the allegations.

She disclosed that the total amount she owed was $13,000, but it was closer to $14,000 when the additional costs were added to her bill.

Sophia Rose then urged motorists to pay the parking fines immediately when they are issued.

She said, “If that’s a lesson for anyone, maybe it will show up in your algorithm.” If you have a parking ticket, pay for it.

“Don’t be too long or you’ll get fucked.”

According to California State University San Marcos, violations can range from $65 to $825.

Sophia Rose joked that Los Angeles traffic officials should name a freeway after her.

She said: “If you’re driving on a smooth road with no potholes, think of me because that’s where my money went.”

TikToker announced that if they experienced a similar ordeal to Sophia Rose, they would move to another state.

Others couldn’t understand how the influencer got hold of the tickets, while others admitted the amount she owed was more than the cash in her banks.

Influencers also said they had ignored traffic tickets for years.

One said, “All of a sudden, my $710 in filing and late fees doesn’t sound like the end of the world.”

Content creators have taken to TikTok to rant about the tickets they were slapped with.

An influencer known only as Jayme (@jaymem8) claimed she did nothing wrong after being issued a $75 ticket.
