I was fired from Kohl’s over a customer’s actions – they accused me of “stealing” as part of a bizarre business policy

A WOMAN alleges she was fired from Kohl’s over a customer’s actions which led to her being accused of theft.

TikTok user @WhyD0IEats0Much said the incident stemmed from a transaction with a customer who earned $30 in Kohl’s Cash from her purchase.

The customer reportedly stated that she didn’t want the Kohl’s Cash because she was done with her Christmas shopping and gave it to the clerk.

“She said, ‘You can have it!'” the TikToker said in the clip.

The clerk said she accepted Kohl’s Cash and used it to buy a pair of Converse sneakers.

The next day, however, the employee was reportedly called into the manager’s office and asked if she had anything to confess.

She said no, then claimed management “accused her of theft.”

“But I was like, ‘Can I see the footage?'” the TikToker said.

The employee claimed her management never showed her the footage and she was immediately fired.

She was also reportedly told that she would never be allowed to work at a Kohl location again.

In the comments, she explained that the alleged incident happened about three years ago.

“I was like, ok, I don’t want to come back anyway,” the post’s caption reads.

Several viewers shared their own reported experiences of working at Kohl’s.

“I worked for Kohl for three years. For some reason, they never told the seasons about their Kohl’s Cash policy, so technically that’s up to them, girls,” one person claimed.

Another wrote: “Omg! I got fired for the same thing!!!!

“The lady gave it [to] me to use it, and later I think she changed her mind and reported it as lost.

And a third person said: “You were just a kid, that’s a stupid rule.

“They should have reminded you and sent you on your way.”

The US Sun has reached out to Kohl’s and TikToker for comment on the matter.
