I was charged £160 to clean my son’s blood after he died in a horror scooter accident – I thought it was a joke

A grieving mother has been charged over £100 for “waste disposal” to dispose of her son’s blood after a drunken police officer killed him.
Davide Pavan, 17, was riding his scooter in Paese, Italy, when he was allegedly hit and killed by officer Samuel Seno on May 8, 2022.
Seno is under house arrest in Paese as he awaits trial and is reportedly negotiating a deal to avoid prison.
Now the dead teenager’s angry parents have revealed they have been sent a stunning £157 note to clean Davide’s blood from the pavement where he died.
The grieving couple said: “At first we thought it was a mistake. Or a bad joke.”
The bill had been sent to them to cover the cost of “waste disposal and spill absorbents” – Davide’s blood.
Davide’s mother Barbara added: “We received a registered letter telling us that the wreckage of the scooter had been released and that we had to collect it immediately or we would have to pay a fine for every day of delay.”
Barbara said the law was “too soft” on those who cause fatal accidents and the fine made the family feel “let down”.
She added: “Maybe he (Seno) will become a father sooner or later.”
“In this moment, when he looks at his son, he will finally understand what he took from me. And then, yes, I will find the strength to forgive him.”
Before the accident, police officer Seno had allegedly attended a drinking party to celebrate his retirement from rugby before setting out and killing Davide.
According to local media, Seno was reportedly driving 50 mph in a 30 mph zone when he allegedly mowed down Davide on the wrong side of the road.
He is currently charged with vehicular homicide. Drive while drunk and Drive on the wrong side of the street.
