AN ATHLETE born without legs will make his MMA debut.
Zion Clark was born without legs due to caudal regression syndrome, a rare condition that affects lower body development.
But that hasn’t stopped him from launching a record-breaking career.
Now Clark is smashing more barriers with an MMA debut this weekend against Eugene Murray for the Gladiator Challenge in San Diego.
Clark, 25, told Fox LA: “I’m not exceptional because I have no legs and I’m an athlete.
“I’m exceptional because I have a drive and live by the ‘No Excuses’ mantra and push myself every day.
“This is the start of another pro career for me and I’m here to rip his throat out and put on a show for the crowd.”
His opponent Murray has lost all four of his MMA fights, most recently against Tommy Telles in July.
Clark holds the Guinness World Record for highest box jump with hands and most diamond push-ups in three minutes.
He also recorded the fastest two-handed 20-meter dash.
But the inspirational star used his talent to fight, wrestling for Kent State University.
The All-American campaigned for the United States Paralympic track and field team at the belated Tokyo Olympics last year.
But he suffered shoulder and back injuries, set his sights on the 2024 games and even wanted to represent America on the Olympic wrestling roster.
Clark also has ambitions to sign for the UFC and warned he will beat opponents in the cage like he did on the wrestling mat.
He told TMZ, “It’s the same as wrestling to me. I only wrestle non-disabled people and I beat disabled people.
“Now I’m fighting able-bodied people, and I’m going to knock out able-bodied people. It’s as simple as that. I’m a fighter.”
