I took a gamble on a John Lewis return pallet for £120 and pocketed a £450 PS5, we hit the jackpot

A woman has revealed how she got a PS5 and other gifts from John Lewis in an auction for just £120.
Katherine Chalmers showed how she “hit the jackpot” after bidding in a blind auction.
She also earns five bean bags, a mug, curtain stakes, wool, a dog bed, a mirror, a soap dispenser, and a bathroom mop — plus a popular console table.
Katherine wrote on TikTok videotapes: “We bid on a random pallet of John Lewis second hand.
“It was a blind auction so we didn’t know what would be in the box.
“We paid £120 including delivery. This is the arrival date of the pallet. This is a very interesting bleak February day. ”

Some said the deal seemed too good to be true, with one commenting: “Just not right.”
The girlfriend explained to skeptical TikTok users that she and her boyfriend used auction site BidSpotter to look for deals.
Two of Katherine’s videos have garnered an incredible 174,000 likes with many saying they’d like to try bidding in an auction.
Katherine did a follow-up clip sharing the “reality” of the auction, explaining that they later discovered that the PS5 wasn’t working.
“They tested it, it stopped working,” she wrote. So it’s broken. We will try to fix it.”
Still, people were impressed with the pallet, with one saying: “How lucky.”
