I tested the most expensive bottle of water on Amazon at $37.99 against cheap brands with surprising results

A MONEY expert bought and tested Amazon’s most expensive water bottle and compared it to cheaper brands, finding surprising results.

Marketing, e-commerce and crypto expert Stevie, who goes by the username @steviesells on TikTok, recently posted a video showing the $37.99 bottle of water he bought on Amazon is described in detail.

The brand is called Berg and, according to the company website, makes mineral water from icebergs.

“It’s called a mountain, and you might have guessed it, but it comes from actual icebergs,” Stevie explains in his video.

“There are these 15,000-year-old glaciers in western Greenland, and when huge chunks of these glaciers fall into the ocean, they form icebergs … which are then harvested.”

As Stevie explains, it certainly begs the question of why the company is going to all the trouble to extract this special water from icebergs.

Apparently, mountain water is completely natural and also has the least amount of bad minerals because seawater can’t contaminate the icebergs, according to Stevie.

After the taste test, Stevie found that the water tasted very good, but he would test it with other branded waters in a separate video.

In order to test fairly and appropriately whether Berg water is really the best water you can buy compared to other brands, Stevie has developed a test that delivers the fairest possible results.

First he got Fiji, Ice Mountain, Essentia, Pure Water, Smart Water and Tap Water to test with Berg.

Stevie then poured them all into separate mugs and blindfolded himself while someone else rearranged them so he had no idea which water was which.

Results are based on a rating scale of 1 to 7, with 7 being the worst water and 1 being the top.

Surprisingly, Berg didn’t come first for Stevie, despite it being by far the most expensive.

The order was as follows from worst to best.

  • Tap water – 7
  • Fiji – 6th
  • Pure water – 5
  • Mountains – 4
  • Smart water – 3
  • essence – 2
  • iceberg – 1

That’s right, Berg’s $37.99 bottle of water came in fourth place according to Stevie’s taste test.

However, everyone’s water preference is subjective, but it’s surprising that even with the holistic and natural aspects of mountain water, Stevie could taste only a small enough difference to keep it in fourth place overall.
