I stopped being vegan after being betrayed by animals – I was so angry I ran straight to McDonald’s for a burger

A BITE from a dog made a vegan so angry at animals that he went to McDonald’s for immediate revenge.

Mariano de la Canal said he immediately changed his eating habits and “automatically” found himself in the burger chain after the attack.

Argentina’s De la Canal rose to fame as a vegan influencer who has more than 455,000 followers on Instagram.

It’s not clear at this point if his switch to meat will affect his future career.

“I stopped being vegan because a dog bit me, so I got angry and said, ‘I stand up for the animals, and then one of them comes and bites me,'” he told Infobae.

“That’s when I stopped being vegan.”

“The truth is I’ve championed all of this, veganism, vegetarianism, all of that.

“But a dog bit me on the street and I said, ‘Wow, I’m trying a lot for her and one of her pack comes and bites me.’

“Well no, I automatically went to McDonald’s.”

The influencer first rose to fame after appearing on reality TV show Showmatch.

He is also an avid fan of Argentinian actress, model and soccer player Mauro Icardi’s wife Wanda Nara,

Showmatch is an Argentine entertainment and dance show where the audience decides whether the contestants stay or get the boot.

Maybe Mariano found what he was looking for at McDonald’s.

The fast-food giant is now offering the McPlant burger for vegans too.

The new fast food dish is made with a plant-based patty and is certified as an Approved Vegan Product by the Vegetarian Society.
