On his YouTube channel American Arbitrage, he reveals that he has been selling his finds on eBay for almost a decade.
The money the seasoned thrift collector earns proves that one man’s junk is another man’s treasure.
In one video, another saver gave him a pair of gym shorts without realizing their value.
“She just gave me $150 at the Goodwill trash cans,” he captioned the video.

In the clip, a woman can be seen wearing purple basketball shorts back to the large bins in the warehouse.
The YouTuber approaches her and asks, “You don’t want those Utah jazz shorts?”
“Yes, I’ll take them, thanks.”
Once in his possession, he explained their hidden value to the camera.
“These are 1990s jazz champion shorts. They’re like $40 or $50 used, but these are brand new with the tag on,” he said.
The saver added: “There are no specimens like it. I will charge $150 for at least $100.”
Viewers of the video were shocked by the bargain he had made, while others questioned if he was really getting more than $100 for it.
“This is an amazing deal,” wrote one.
Another added: “Zoinks! Let her in the door!”
Meanwhile, some online asked him for “proof” of the sale, saying he’d likely get $60 after postage and taxes.
Other savers noticed how they were making money off items people had been putting away.
One said: “I always look at what other people throw in the bin.”

“This lady returned Merrells in superb condition. I cleaned them and sold them for $45.”
