A MAN who spotted a diner giving away cash to strangers at Waffle House alongside a touching note.

Former Barack Obama campaign spokesman Kevin Cate shared the kind act in a series of tweets, saying he was stunned to discover the man had given out over $13,000.

He explained that he met the elderly man sitting in an alcove at the Waffle House in Midway, Fla., pinning dollar bills to notes.

Being curious, he asked the man why he was doing this, to which he replied that he had been handing out $1 and $5 bills to strangers since 2014.

He said he has given away more than $13,000 over the years to people and children he meets at the Waffle House and other locations.

He also told Cate that he attached a note that said, “Love Every Body.”

He added that he prints and cuts out the notes every few days.

When asked why he chose that particular phrase, the man replied that those were the last words his mother said to him before she died.

He said to Cate, “‘Love everyone’

“She didn’t say ‘I love you,’ she said ‘Love everyone.’ So that’s what I do. To love everyone.'”

Cate’s post received thousands of comments and likes, and users thanked him for sharing the beautiful story.

And some began to tell their own similar tales of kindness from strangers.
