‘I really can’t stand him’

AMIR KHAN’s wife Faryal Makhdoom has voiced ‘rude and upset’ Carl Froch over his comments after her husband was hit by Kell Brook.

Speaking after the battle, Frochcomment to Sky Sports, describing how Khan’s ‘foot turned to Bambi’ and that he was ‘seriously injured’.

The former super middleweight champion then urged Khan retired, saying he ‘had to think about the future’ and ‘it’s not healthy to get punched in the head’.

Looks like these comments didn’t go well with Khan’s wife, who tweeted out a damned response.

Faryal wrote: “I rarely speak badly of someone but I really can’t stand Carl Froch. Simply rude and nasty.

“Wonder if it upsets him that Khan makes more money than he does.”

Khan has an estimated net worth of £30m and is believed to have pocketed a larger percentage of his £5m match against Brook.

Froch is believed to be worth around £15m after his own stellar boxing career helped him unify the super-middleweight classification.

Khan himself refer to retiring immediately after the warand Faryal also suggests that this will happen.

She wrote on Twitter: “Thank you King Khan for all the excitement you have brought to the sport of boxing.

“Without you, boxing wouldn’t be the same. You’ve inspired all of us.”

Khan, who has been married to Faryal since 2013, is a former unified world champion.

He’s also made a name for himself Stateside with a number of round-the-pond wins.

But possibly the most important of his career, he admitted bragging about his life to Brook’s rival.
