A heartbroken mother has shared the tragic moment she realized her six-year-old son was dead after he was left silent after a horror car crash.
Klara Donovan said her “world collapsed” when her son Jackson died in a tragic car accident while she was picking him up from school.
The mother had just picked Jackson and his sister Rosie up from school in Perth, Australia, when they were involved in a four-car collision in East Rockingham.
Klara explained that they were on their way to pick up Everley, the children’s other sister, when the tragedy struck.
The mother said in a Facebook post: “I literally thought ‘What a great day.’
“I was thrilled that in less than an hour we would all be home for the weekend together.
“And everything turned white. All airbags around me had deployed.
“I shouted ‘everyone okay?’
“Jackson was calm and honestly I was so confused as to why he wasn’t answering until I saw him.
“We were told he died on impact.”
The mother explained that her car was “pushed into traffic and hit another time or two, causing the car to spin and we finally stopped.”
The horrific accident is believed to have been caused by a driver’s medical episode, reports 9News.
The boy was taken to the hospital but could not be saved.
After 28 hours, his parents made the devastating decision to turn off his life support.
The mother said that she and her husband “can make our heads turn that it all just stopped.”
Klara said her son loves video games and reads to his sisters Dr. Seuss before.
She recalled Jackson sneaking into his parents’ bed at night and how he “was always the best in our family at guessing the cakes on Is It Cake.”
She continued: “Rosie won’t even remember the brother who knew how to make her laugh long before everyone else could, who carried her to his class in the mornings to cuddle with his friends, who himself pleased with every little thing she did.
“Everley has lost her best friend and wild playmate.
“We have lost the most amazing, funniest, hilarious, smartest and sweetest child.
“We are indescribably devastated. Jackson, we love you so much. We are so sorry that you could not stay longer with us.”
