I picked up a £5 Starbucks Too Good To Go bag and couldn’t believe the amount of food I received

FIVE years ago, you had to visit the local cafes and supermarkets just before closing to bag the best yellow sticker bargains.

But that’s a thing of the past thanks to anti-food waste apps like Too Good to Go.

Earlier this week, connoisseur shopper Lucy Elizabeth was shocked by the incredible amount of food she received on her £5 Starbucks order.

She went through each item in the bag in a video posted on her TikTok account.

In total, Lucy gets an almost £2.90 croissant, £2.50 chocolate chip cookie, £2.55 lemon muffin, £4.70 breakfast sandwich, bacon roll £4.25 and an egg mayo sandwich £3.60.

In total, this distance would normally set Lucy back £20.50.

But because it was past its use-by date that day, Lucy packed the snack for just £5 on the app.

So how does it work? The idea is that stores sign up to sell mystery boxes of items that are about to be sold at a discount.

You pay through the app and then get an empty seat before closing time to go and pick it up.

And while this isn’t the first time Lucy has purchased one of the discounted Starbucks bags, it’s her best yet.

She added: “I get all of these for £5. This is one of my better Starbucks bags!

“I’ve had a cold all week so I can’t wait to eat all this food.”

“That’s really good,” one viewer replied. “I really love those Starbucks cookies that I love.”

Another added: “Pretty good because it’s expensive in there!”

“This is great,” a third spat out.
