I lost my wallet – the man who found it refused to give it back until I agreed to go out with him

TEARFUL Tiktoker has shared how a stranger who found her missing wallet refused to return it until she agreed to meet him.

Model Tabitha Swatosh, 22, has told her TikTok followers how her wallet was “held hostage” by a man who would only return her wallet if they went on a date.

The model lost her wallet, which contained important documents like her credit card, ID card and passport, while vacationing in Hawaii on August 17.

Soon she was receiving text messages from a man who sent her a photo of the wallet and asked her out.

While she initially replied that she wasn’t interested, she soon realized she wouldn’t get it back until she agreed to go on a date.

The tiktoker was finally convinced to meet the stranger at McDonald’s but said she got up after waiting 25 minutes.

Tearful Tabitha shared a video explaining what happened to her TikTok followers and saying the man stopped replying to her messages.

She said, “If you’re the guy who found my wallet with my credit card, ID card and passport in it on the floor in Hawaii, can you text me back, please?”

“I don’t know if you’re a hero or a villain for finding my wallet, but you don’t give it back.

“You told me you would give back my credit card, wallet, ID and passport if I went on a date with you, I’m going on a date with you.

“I’m due to leave Hawaii in three days and I really want all my stuff back.”

Tiktokers were sympathetic and agreed that the stranger was probably discouraged from showing up for the date when he realized the Tiktoker wasn’t alone after texting him “We’re here.”

One said: “Oh my god this is the worst hoping you get it back ASAP!!!

Another wrote: “You tipped him off when you said ‘we’.”

Someone said, “Probably saw you weren’t alone and went underground.”

The model later provided an update to her followers capturing the moment she was reunited with her wallet.

She said she suddenly got a call from a hotel receptionist that someone had delivered it.

When she finally gets her wallet back, she quickly checks to make sure everything is in it – just eight hours before her flight home.

In addition to her personal belongings, the wallet also contained a bizarre handwritten note.

It read: “Hope you had a fun trip kid, I enjoyed messing around with you. Always a good time to mess with the tourists. Here in Hawaii you always have a local friend.”

“Yeah, like cracking some jokes, not taking someone’s wallet.

“It was a roller coaster of emotions for me, these are tears of joy.”
