I just wanted it more – Former Chelsea star Gary Cahill makes an amazing dive to win the sack race

THE ORIGINAL Gary Cahill became an ambitious dad at his kids’ school sports day – he brilliantly won his parents’ sack race.
The former Chelsea defender, a father of two, shared a hilarious clip on Twitter of him lining up against other dads at school.

As he hopped toward the finish line, Cahill and another parent went head to head as the finish line neared.
But not to be outdone, the former England international showed an amazing face-first drive to win the race.
Cahill shared his joy at his win, captioning the clip, “I just wanted it more!” accompanied by a winner’s medal, an athlete and a laughing emoji.
Family man Cahill has been married to a longtime love since 2013 and they have two children together – Leo and Freya.

However, it was unclear which sports day the centre-back was performing on.
Perhaps Cahill put himself in the showcase for prospective employers — showing that despite his advanced age, he still has a twist.
Last season he played for AFC Bournemouth in the league and helped the club gain promotion to the Premier League.
He completed 22 games for the Cherries, who were returning to the top flight after a two-year absence.

But Prem’s new boys decided against offering Cahill an extension to his one-year contract and released him in May.
He announced on Twitter: “My time as @officialafcb players comes to an end this summer together.
“I have really enjoyed working with this great group of players and I would like to wish them and all the staff the very best for the future.”
Cahill is currently a free agent and has not yet announced any retirement plans.
