I haven’t spoken to Roy Keane at Man Utd for a whole season after I had a heated argument in Marbella… it was just weird
ROY KEANE and Gary Pallister once spent an entire season at Manchester United without speaking.
The pair won four Premier League titles together at United before falling apart ahead of Pallister’s last season at the club.
The former defender revealed he and Keane had stopped talking after an incident during a pre-season tour of Marbella.
And while they still shook hands before games, both players were too stubborn to apologize first.
Recalling the fallout while speaking to AceOdds on the Daily Star, Pallister said: “We had a fallout on a pre-season tour. We were both persistent enough.
“It was funny because before a game we shook hands and kind of laughed, but neither of us would break the ice. So we spent the whole season like that.
“And then it was actually the year I left. I came back to get my stuff off the cliff, my boots and sneakers and things like that. And he was walking down the hall to the dressing room at home as I was walking out.
“We start running into each other and we both started laughing and he reached out and shook my hand and he just wished us well in Middlesbrough and so the ice was broken.
“I mean, we’re fine now, but it was just weird. Anyhow, none of us would be the first to put our hands up and say, right, let’s be buddies.
“Actually just stubbornness on the part of both of us, I think. But that’s how it all turned out in the end.”

Keane also spoke about the argument during an appearance on The Overlap.
He said: “I had a fight with Pally [Gary Pallister] in Marbella and I was at Pally’s a few weeks ago, great guy!
“I vaguely remember [Sir] Bobby Charlton opened the door and saw him and me; I bet he thought damn it! But I think we won the league that year, so it helped.”
