JONO CARROLL has revealed the gruesome reality of what he must do to avoid taking painkillers after every fight.
The Irish boxer is still reveling in his victory over Miguel Marriaga earlier this month but has shown what it took to recover from the bout.

The 30-year-old took to Instagram to explain to his followers that he needs to drain the fluid and blood from his hand during camps and after fights.
And he posted a video that’s not for the faint of heart.
He said: “These are the gross things that people don’t see, I have to do this shit during camp and after fights just to keep my hands in order.
“When I’m not doing that, I’m constantly eating painkillers, the things I do for this sport, just a boy chasing a dream.”
The technique is called wet cupping and is an ancient medical technique used to reduce inflammation and draw blood from the area.
It is very similar to the process of cupping commonly used in sports like swimming, which uses glass cups to create a suction effect that helps with inflammation, increases blood flow and reduces pain.
With wet cupping, a small puncture is made in the skin before fluid and blood is suctioned out of the desired area.

Both types of cupping often leave large circular bruises on the skin of the person being treated.
Although the technique sounds and looks strange, it is widely used in the world of sports.
