A woman has revealed the neighborhood dog she believed was caught on video wasn’t what she thought.

The woman later shared that the dog wasn’t even a pet.

TikToker Jessica (@jessicaontheradio) recently shared the discovery in a Video.

“POV: When you think the neighborhood dog is in your yard but realize it’s NOT a dog,” the video captioned.

The video showed a furry animal running across a snowy lawn.

Then the video showed the creature stopping mid-step on the lawn.

The animal looked around and explored its surroundings.

It then froze with its head bowed for a few moments before appearing to become frightened of something.

Jessica revealed in the hashtags that the animal was actually a coyote.

Many in the comments pointed out that the animal appeared to be injured.

“Hope someone was called to help poor guy,” one person wrote.

“He’s probably so hungry because he can’t hunt, that’s why he got so close to humans,” said another.

“Someone in the neighborhood posted a photo of a lost dog she was trying to catch…it was a coyote,” wrote another.

Meanwhile, a Maryland man almost petted a wild animal after mistaking it for his neighbor’s dog.

The man immediately called 911 after realizing the furry creature was none other than a bear.
